This quartet played around Toronto and served as the house band at the El Mocambo and played college dates around southern Ontario. This recording session produced three songs written by King - the instrumental 'Sawbuck' and two vocals - 'Nothings Gonna Take You Away' sung by Wayne McGhie and later restructured and recorded by Chaka Khan and McGhie's version of 'Moonlight Lady.'. 'Moonlight Lady' would be released in Jamaica by singer Robert Burke with the same band track.

The unit backed many of the greats from Jamaica. They also brought reggae to high school and college audiences throughout the province. On one occasion guitar giant Buddy Guy made a surprise visit to the band after playing a roaring set main floor of the MoCambo to meet the bass player. King introduced him to his two octave Korg synth played with his left hand.

King often played with only the Horner Clavinet C and Korg. Doubling bass lines. McGhie played chopping rhythm patterns that wedged between Paul's ferocious beat and King's moving bass lines making the rhythm section a force in clubs.
